Registration Unit
Purpose of the Registration Unit
Registrations, fingerprints, and photographs of convicted sex, arson, and gang offenders that live in the unincorporated areas of Kern County. The Registration Unit also processes any subject that the court has ordered to be booked, and fingerprints any subject required to do so by an officer when they have received a citation.

Registering
The Registration Unit is located at 1415 Truxtun Avenue, Suite 100, Bakersfield, CA. The unit is on the first floor in the same office as the Work Release Unit.
Those required to register may do so by appointment only during the following hours:

The Registration Unit is closed on weekends and all county holidays.

Bakersfield Police Department Registrations
Effective February 4, 2010, the Bakersfield Police Department began processing registrants who live within their jurisdiction. Their office is located at 1601 Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield, CA.
