Public Visiting

Kern County Sheriff's Office

***IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTIFICATION***

PUBLIC VISITATION AT ALL KCSO JAIL FACILITIES – EFFECTIVE 04/09/22

The Sheriff’s Office has been able to reduce the spread of the virus within the facilities due to the implementation of extra sanitation, wearing of masks and the cooperation of our inmate population. Thanks to all these measures, we are finally able to re-open public visitation back to normal operations. As always, we will be monitoring this closely to make sure we do not experience any new outbreaks.

As we fully re-open visiting, all jail’s and detentions centers are still under a federal mask mandate. We will require your full cooperation in wearing your masks. There will be hand sanitizer available on site as well as cleaning supplies if you’d wish to sanitize your individual station before use.
